Forty lashes minus one

When Jesus declared the mysteries of the kingdom he was flogged with "forty minus one lashes."

When Paul declared the mysteries of the kingdom he was "flogged five times with forty minus one lashes."

What happens when we begin to declare the mysteries of the kingdom most specifically equality with God? When we declare "If you have seen me you have seen the Father"…?

Or when we declare that Christ is not a noun or a last name for Jesus, a title reserved for one man but rather it is a verb and is a reality attainable by ALL men?

Or when we begin to question the concept of hell, that we are told to love and to forgive our enemies while our loving father tortures his enemies for all of eternity?

Or when we question the idea that there is a heaven "up there somewhere" when Jesus himself said the kingdom was within?

Or when we begin to see the Holy Bible as a book of mysteries not to be taken literally but mystically?

When we understand that a book is NOT THE word of God?

Or that people of other religions might be "saved" too?

Or when we begin to question the very concept of being "saved"?

When we understand that the "only way to the father" is not the recital of a prayer or "accepting Jesus into your heart" but rather to emulate the behavior of the pattern and that being the unconditional love and non-judgment of Christ?

What happens when we begin to declare these and other mysteries?

That's right. This is when the forty lashes minus one begins. You are lied about, rumors are spread, your integrity and loyalty are questioned and you are ultimately abandoned even by those closest to you. Sound familiar?

Yes. These are your forty minus one lashes and it is a path that the Christ must endure. Jesus said, "A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also."

This is a mystery. The master is the Christ in you and the servant is your humanity.

You will receive your forty minus one lash if you are to become Christ to the world. Christ means that you have merged your humanity with divinity and you are ONE.

Everything about you will break down (body, mind and spirit) just as the caterpillar becomes a rich nutrient soup as it decomposes within the cocoon - you will do the same.

Christ is an identity that emerges when we receive in our humanity, the lashes that it takes to ultimately die willingly to the egocentric self so that the Christ nature may resurrect.

On Yielding...

A friend told me years ago that “We will not make it in the days ahead unless we learn to discern" that is, to develop our intuitive mind.

I have the honor to lead a class online Monday evenings and I have said that the most important thing is to develop the mind that cannot be taught. The intuitive mind.

We can teach the intellectual mind many things, but in the days ahead, the Bible says that “There will come a time when no man will teach you.” I believe this is because the intuitive mind, the mind that sees beyond the physical world, will be instructing us from a place of KNOWING rather than from belief.

How do we develop the intuitive mind?

The intuitive mind is not limited to the physical body as the brain is. The intuitive mind is a field of consciousness that we may tap in to using desire and will. This mind is called, “The mind of Christ” and is not limited to human reason.

The Mind of Christ is formed in this way: It is when the human brain (ego/serpent) that recognizes its limitations and yields to a place of higher knowing beyond the physical, human plane.

This is the marriage that is spoken of in so many biblical scriptures, but the marriage is not between men and women but rather masculine and feminine.

Masculine seeds the form with life, the feminine.

The masculine IS information from the unlimited field of consciousness that the feminine (the human mind/form) yields to. The feminine is within all humans and the masculine courts the feminine as a lover. The masculine NEEDS a WOMB-MAN (or woman) through which to experience and inhabit the material worlds. Once the WOMB-MAN submits and yields to the masculine, a new form is birthed and it is called CHRIST, or EMANUEL which means GOD WITHIN MAN.

This is not a CHRISTIAN concept or teaching. This is a universal truth that has been deposited into may religions and cultural expressions. Many have opened this intuitive center and have apprehended this figurative truth that is modeled between the physical man and woman however there are those still within literalism that have yet to truly SEE this mystery.

Once this yielding takes place there are many institutional beliefs that will tumble and the more people that see beyond the physical limitations of the human mind. The problem remains with the serpent found within the garden of human consciousness that struggles for survival and to be right. It is in yielding to the metaphorical death of the human mind that we find abundant life.

On Trauma

“Sometimes traumatic events propel us into unfamiliar territories in consciousness. Something happens and a veil lifts within our psyche and we are given the opportunity to see things differently. Trauma fractures the dome of our reality allowing our consciousness to seep out like a spy to see beyond the boundaries of our present perception.”

The wound becomes a portal. Trauma causes a split in the fabric of our mind’s tapestry having been woven at the skillful hands of the ego. Trauma breaks the wall of a carefully constructed paradigm, shatters our security and releases us to a borderless world where we see, truly see, the beauty of our unfettered soul. Trauma beckons to us to let go and simply be. Trauma carries us to a precipice from which to launch; fear says "turn back” but love says, “leap.”

As Jacob wrestled with the angelic messenger (your Divine self) he clings to the new and says, "I will not turn loose of you until you bless me” and in this way the wrestling that is the sweeping undercurrent of change brings about a blessing as our very nature is redefined. Jacob is renamed by this messenger from Jacob (a metaphor for egocentric being) to Israel (God has prevailed) as the Divine self has now apprehended you.

May we all see our traumatic events as opportunities for insight. Instead of trying to heal the wound let us travel in to it to see the vista of blessings that it offers. Remember the Good Samaritan that found the man lying beaten and bloody and poured oil into his wounds? In the same way, oil, symbolic for the spirit world, saturates us at the wound and elevates us to see... beyond.

Religious Indoctrination as Children...

I have seen and been through the struggle of having my belief forged in the furnaces of popular opinion - of religious conditioning - of peer pressure from those within Christianity.

We burn neural pathways into our brain, making straight the path of approval for those that want to be accepted into the “fold.”

Human beings need to belong. They are creatures of habit with few exceptions.

From an early age people have their beliefs burned within their conscious record much like a music CD or cinematic DVD is “burned” with a particular song or movie. This is why the scripture is true that says in Proverbs 22:6, 6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

I have seen many people that are free from their religious indoctrination as young adults that inevitably return to religious indoctrination - that is because it is familiar to them - those pathways have been established through repetition as children. It is sort of like this:

Imagine that you are in a strange city looking for a grocery store driving along unfamiliar streets (without GPS of course). It is not a good to feel unsure of your surroundings and having the frustration that comes from searching. Now imagine yourself on autopilot in your own city not even remembering how you got to the store because you are so familiar with the route. As you arrive at the store, people cheer, hug and accept you for making it to the store. How would you feel about going there? This is similar to religious indoctrination - it is familiar to us and will strike familiar chords within us. Comfort is found within familiarity. And so many return. And when they return, they are lovingly accepted back into the fold.

Indoctrination lasts a lifetime UNLESS…. and UNTIL…

There is a seed of RIGHTeousness planted deep within us that begins to sprout, and GROW and eventually it will overtake the “GARDEN” that is, our consciousness. There is such deep truth that has been a part of us forever, that when it begins to grow will eclipse those old and familiar pathways - truth that begins to challenge indoctrination.

I remember a story that the reason why train tracks are the width that they are is because that was the width of horse and buggy carriage wheels. The old always births the new and the new carries with it the earmarks of the old. The reason why we resort to childhood indoctrination is because that is what we know, not necessarily what is true.

Now more than ever people are leaving religious structures because consciousness is much more sophisticated than what we have been force fed as children - it is no longer that familiar to us because we as a civilization have grown past the point of our programming. No longer do we accept that a loving God would burn people forever - that wasn’t God, that was a concept birthed within the “Inquisition" period of time and that was adopted as a very effective means to control people.

A while back I heard a man named Ian Chellan say this: “For those of you that believe Satan and Lucifer are one and the same and am here to tell you that they are not. But don’t take my word for it, study FOR YOURSELF.”

I was shocked at the statement but took his advice to study and after weeks of reading do you know what? He was absolutely right!

Too many will just accept what they are told rather than to become a student and pursuer of truth. I thought to myself, if I was wrong about Satan and Lucifer being one and the same then what else do I have wrong???

That was the beginning of the end of Christian indoctrination for me and I have not looked back. I became VERY uncomfortable and could simply NOT conform any longer. It became very uncomfortable for me to attend church anywhere that taught similarly that the reason we have train tracks the width that we do is because that was the width of the horse and buggy carriage wheels. No more.

To break free from those pathways is UNFAMILIAR. Remember the word familiar is akin to “family.” It is a hard thing to leave our parental and religious oversight but we must if we are to truly grow into the full measure and stature of CHRIST.

Not about Men and Women...

It is not about men and women, nor male or female - it is about energy.

Presently we are living out a great mystery, a metaphor that is alive by being either male or female. By the patterns in nature we are to see that the male (masculine) is the seed giver but the female incubates and grows the seed and ultimately gives birth to the creation that is both masculine and feminine.

From this physical example we are to learn the principles behind masculine and feminine energy.

The masculine provides force, the thrust, the seed which carries dunamis power, a blueprint.

The feminine provides the egg (potential) to couple with and the form with which to incubate the potential form.

The physical penetration of the male into female and the subsequent deposit, mingling, agreement (yes, the sperm works together, gathers into groups of 12-13, forms a key circle on the outside of the egg and the egg decides whether or not to allow the penetration of ONE sperm), adherence and growth of the fetus is a PATTERN.

This is the pattern: Although we are separated into male and female presently we need to understand that this mystical union that is spoken of, is a union of masculine and feminine energy - this will produce a gender neutral being. “In the kingdom there is neither male nor female…”

This union will produce a new creation.

Secondly, we can see by this human physical pattern that something else is afoot. When we yield physically (and allow penetration of the sperm into the egg) this too is a PATTERN of the yielding of the EGO or human mind to the Divine mind. This yielding produces a God man - CHRIST. Presently consciousness is undergoing PENETRATION and as we allow the Divine impetus of LOVE to permeate and to penetrate, a new creation is being formed within the WOMB OF THE EARTH.

This yielding is what is called the HARVEST as the human mind is no longer subject to or focused on this mortal realm or world. It is ready, like the cocooned caterpillar to shed the restriction of this passing age and enter into a limitless life. This is the Melchizedek order.

This is Emanuel - that is neither male nor female but rather is BOTH. This new creation is able to create at will out of its being, not another life per se (because it continually renews itself and is eternal), but anything it desires it can create. There is no limitation. 

This is your destiny.

Earth is a womb. It has been incubating YOU.

It is the mystery of mysteries, we each in our own role are displaying the greatest truth of the universe. We each contain masculine and feminine within one body, both energies highly creative and when they come into union within, we are truly born again.
